Additional Installations Tips:
The height or width of shower walls can be increased by purchasing extra wall panels or adding decorative separating tile strips in between. For example, additional mosaic or other decorative tiles can be purchased by the owner and installed between the 30”x30” and 36”x60” wall panels to add the accent and also to increase the height of the shower if needed. Extra shower panels or cultured marble accessories can be found on our Accessories page.
Each panel is treated as a large tile and can be finished with matching grout color between panels or silicone based matching color caulking in the corners and edges. Once the shower surround is assembled it has only one connecting 4 panel horizontal grout line vs multiple grout lines in installed regular tile walls. All panel edges are factory finished and the edges can be nicely caulked and installed with paint or covered with ¾” thick 2” trim for a more elegant finish.
Cultured Marble Characteristics & Cleaning Tips.
Our cultured marble, also known as engineered stone is made by mixing marble dust and resin, its surface is non-porous, stain resistant and is easy to clean. The cultured marble wall panels and accessories can be cleaned with a soft sponge or cloth or non-abrasive cleaner like soapy water, Windex, aerosol foam cleaner or other non-abrasive cleaners for tile available in the market. Take extra care with cleaning because the finish shows scratches so the harsh abrasive cleaners or scouring pads are not recommended.
