Ella Acrylic Walk-in Tubs are vacuum formed from a solid, long-lasting acrylic sheet. The non-porous material in white gloss finish is easy to clean and impermeable to mold and mildew. Under the acrylic shell facade is a rust proof, stainless steel frame reinforced with multiple fiberglass mesh and gelcoat layers to ensure the durability of the tub’s structure. The frame has multiple leveling legs that can be adjusted for an easier installation and stronger support.
Ella Exclusive 2″ Dual Drain Technology
Most Ella Acrylic Walk-In Bathtubs include our Dual Drain Technology. Draining a walk in bathtub needs to be fast because a bather cannot exit until all of the water is completely drained. Adding a second drain decreases wait time and adds to the overall bathing experience.

Hoist Transfer Bathtub
The Ella Transfer3060HL is a hoist transfer bathtub that is sized for the average bather. This is a great option for customers who have little to no mobility. The tub features a hoist that can be pulled out and moved to assist the user. Once the person is on the hoist, they can easily be pushed straight into the tub in a matter of minutes. As soon as the bath is over, you can store the hoist right behind the tub rolling the bottom underneath to decrease the space being used.
How to Choose the Correct Size Walk-in Bathtub
We offer a variety of sizes and styles to tailor to your specific needs. To determine an appropriate bathtub length and the optimal width of the seat, establish the following measurements: Bather’s height and hip width in a sitting position. To measure your hip width, sit in a chair and place the end of the measuring tape on the outside of your right hip. Pull the measuring tape straight across your pelvic area to the outside of your left hip.
Note: Bather’s weight is not as important if the sizes above are provided. If the customer can comfortably fit in the tub, the bathtub can hold the bather’s weight. The bather’s height will dictate the selection of the bathtub length and depth, while hip size will dictate the selection of seat width. Please keep in mind that walk-in tubs are designed for safe sit-in bathing, and reclining is limited to the length of the seat and/or tub. The depth of the tub may not be as important as the length of the tub when considering the soaking depth. Please view the drawings of the tub to determine the best option for you or contact our customer support or agents.
Next, assess the layout of your house and bathroom. Make sure you take the width of the doorways, from the main entrance to the bathroom, into consideration. Then, measure the space and turning angle in which you would need to carry your walk-in bathtub into the bathroom. Finally, note any objects that may prohibit you from opening an outswing door, if chosen.
Getting Your Walk-In Tub Into The Bathroom
Another important aspect of size is whether or not the walk-in bathtub will fit in your house or bathroom. If the walk-in tub is too large, the walls may need to be cut to get the walk-in bathtub inside of your bathroom. This can be another costly expense so it is vital to pay attention to the walk-in bathtub dimensions as well as your own bathroom and hallway dimensions.

Left and Right Corner Installation:
For a left or right corner installation, most Ella Walk-in Tubs come with one reversible end L panel and an extension panel/filler (for tubs shorter than 60”). These panels cover the end of the tub to give your bathtub a completed look.
60″ Alcove Installation:
Most Ella Walk-in Tubs shorter than 60” will include a filler L panel. For example, the Elite is 30”x52,” so it will come with a L panel filler in the width of 8”. Please refer to specifications of your selected walk-in tub found on every product page under the “Downloads” section.
Against the Wall Installation:
In the case of installing your walk-in bathtub against the wall, both ends will be exposed. Although Ella’s provides you with one end panel, you will need to purchase one more end panel to cover the other open end.
Additional Access Panels For Walk-In Tubs
Ella Walk-in Tubs include one reversible end panel which can be installed to either side. An additional end panel can be ordered in case your tub is installed to the back wall as free standing.
Selecting the Correct Door Style
The biggest difference between standard bathtubs and walk-in bathtubs is that walk-in tubs use a door and standard bathtubs do not. Therefore, choosing a door is important. For those who are not mobily impaired, consider U-shape outward or inward swing doors. It is easier to enter and exit the tub with an outswing door tub, however if objects prohibit you from opening an outswing door please consider an inward swing door bathtub. Inward swing doors are great space savers and perform well in smaller bathrooms as some bathrooms do not offer the space needed to accommodate an outward swinging door walk-in bathtub. For bathers with mobility issues or with oversized body types, the best door option is L-shape outswing door because it allows for the bather to effortlessly slide into the seat through the wide L-shape opening. Lastly, please take the door’s design into consideration when choosing your walk-in bathtub.

Ella Walk-In Bathtub Faucet Options
When fill time matters, our faucet options will get the job done. We offer 5 different options varying in style and finish: Huntington Brass 5-piece faucet, Ella 5-piece fast-fill faucet, Ella 2-piece fast-fill faucet, Jandon 5-piece faucet, and lastly the Ella standard 5-piece Faucet Set that comes with a deck mounted Thermostatic Control Valve.
Thermostatic Control Valve
Plumbing codes require a Thermostatic Control Valve (TCV) in commercial applications like nursing homes, hospitals or for customer’s with safety concerns. The Ella Standard 5 Piece Faucet set that comes with a deck mounted thermostatic control valve is an anti-scald feature that keeps water at a consistent temperature and prevents water from suddenly shifting to unsafe temperature levels.In some states, local plumbing codes require a TCV in showers and bathtubs. When the code does not require a TCV, please consider the fill time. TCV fill time is 7-8 GPM (gallons per minute), while fast fill deck mount bathtub faucets fill time range from 12 to 18 GPM. The flow rate can be affected by size of supply lines or in-house water pressure. If possible install 3/4″ water lines vs 1/2″. When you choose a TCV please consider your local water quality. The TCV cartridge is sensitive and most likely will clog, due to hard water with calcium and iron. In this event, the TCV will need to be removed and cleaned. Therefore, the warranty for TCV is only 1 year. There are a variety of other TCVs available on the market which can be installed into the hot water supply line. Please consult with a professional licensed plumber to avoid any issues that may occur.

Rain Shower Column Kit
The shower column kit connects to a diverter on an Ella brand 2 or 5 piece deck mounted faucet in order to create an extended overhead shower. The stainless steel, chrome finish column can be effortlessly adjusted up to 7 feet tall. Along the column is a vertically movable, 5 mode multi-functional hand shower, and attached at the top is an oversize rain shower that can be directed with ease to the seat for a seated shower or footwell for a stand up shower. This shower column kit replaces the need for a wall-mounted showerhead.

Some of our walk-in tubs allow for extra accessories. The most unique accessory we have is the Ella 360° patented swivel tray. The tray can hold your bathroom essentials such as a nice glass of wine or a good book and it doesn’t get in your way thanks to the rotating capabilities. One such accessory is the Seat Pillow Riser or the Bidet Seat Pillow Riser. These seat pillows add extra cushion and support to the walk-in bathtub seat to aid in your comfort. Another accessory you can add is the Headrest. The headrest adds extra cushion and support just like the seat pillows, but it can be wall mounted with suction cups so you won’t have to constantly adjust it.
